Colour vs Classic Name Labels: Which Should You Choose?
Posted by Online Team on
Choose Colour Name Labels if you want belongings to stand out or your child would enjoy a more personalised design.
Choose Classic Name Labels if you prefer a simple, discreet and budget-friendly option.
You can also use both ranges for different belongings.
When Should You Choose Colour Name Labels?
Colour labels are a good choice when you want school belongings to be easier to recognise or your child would enjoy choosing their own design.
They are available in two main styles.
Designer Theme Colour Labels
Designer Theme labels use coordinated background and font colours, with different images appearing across the labels in the set.
For example, one theme may include zebras on some labels, lions on others and monkeys on others. You can choose the font, while the colours and illustrations remain part of the selected theme.
These labels can be especially useful for younger children who may recognise a familiar picture or colour before they can confidently read their full name.
Customise Your Own Colour Labels
Customise Your Own labels give you more control over the design.
You can choose the:
-
Background colour
-
Font
-
Font colour
-
Icon
You can also leave the icon off completely.
This makes them suitable for a wider range of ages. A younger child may enjoy choosing a favourite picture, while an older pupil may prefer a colourful label with clear text and no image.
When Should You Choose Classic Name Labels?
Classic labels use clear black text on a white background. They are simple, easy to read and more discreet than Colour labels.
You can choose from a selection of icons or leave the icon off for a completely plain design. Micro Labels do not include an icon because their smaller size leaves less space.
Classic labels can be a good choice for school uniform, PE kit, shoes and other belongings where a less noticeable design may be preferred. They may also appeal to older pupils who want something practical without bright colours.
They are the more budget-friendly option, which can be useful when you need a large quantity of labels.
Which Option Is Best?
Choose Designer Theme Colour Labels if your child enjoys coordinated designs and varied pictures.
Choose Customise Your Own Colour Labels if you want greater control over the colours, font and icon, or if your child wants a colourful label without an image.
Choose Classic Name Labels if you prefer a simple, discreet and more economical option.
You can also combine the ranges, using Classic labels for uniform and shoes and Colour labels for more visible belongings.
